Feel like crying right now...

Have someone done a scientific study of women not having their period (or with not observed menstruation blood) still being able to have kids?
(I couldn't run through the rest of the comments hahaha to see if someone in all this years might have)

Ookay, so I was saying (here we go again hahaha):

That just like Jen I'm really glad I found this. This Breaks through what we think as "healthy" even being written years ago.

In the middle of February I started a no-meat non-dairy diet, though I'm a Chef, so is not like I was able to cut out everything, but since then I've had my period every two weeks, painless, light, but really dark (which freaked me out).

Last week I started working on a Italian restaurant, so I've had to try most things on the menu including what wasn't on my diet, also on the same week I run out of food in my apartment (incredible ha?) So my kind parents brought me some when they came to visit, unfortunately most of it was Meat and cheeses. To summarize it, I'm eating "normal" food (for now).

But today I got my period, after two weeks since last time, full of cramps, much more blood and a vivid red color, so trust me when I'm saying I'm going back to my diet as soon as I can. Also I even gained more than a couple of pounds this past weeks when I was loosing weight happily.

What worries me is that my mom (yes, I'm really close to my parents even though they are far away) told me to go to visit a hospital to be "in control", but what if the doctor only tells me to drink pills, in order to have a "normal period"? Is doctors (in 2017) aware of all the research and materials you talked about in this post and many others I assume have been written in all this past 8 years about periods?

Cause' I don't mind not having my period but still be able to get pregnant.

Oh please write me, I'd love to know soo much more about this!

Thank you, CherylAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18235311012326958107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227591395966495076.post-20947927711795790662017-03-20T22:22:19.698-07:002017-03-20T22:22:19.698-07:00Although it would be unusual to experience such a ...Although it would be unusual to experience such a radical change just one month into the diet, I hope you're right, Jen. I became a totally plant based eater about a month ago, I'm not perfect and had a few slip ups with cheese but for the most part I eat just plant based foods. My periods have always been extremely heavy( like using 7 or more super plus tampons a day for the first two days of my period), very long (7 days) and the cycle was short (24-25 days). My periods have been very consistent and start always on the 25th day of my cycle. I started worrying that I was 5 days past my normal period, I even took a pregnancy test this morning thinking that I truly was pregnant. Nope, test was definitely negative.

I did notice very very small spotting the last few days, but sometimes I lightly spot right before my period. After reading this article, I'm thinking that was actually my period. I usually have severe acne breakouts, sore swollen breasts and horrible mood swings before my period. I've had none of those symptoms this time.

This is truly mind blowing. if there is any one reason to convince someone to go plant based, this should win all women over.

Hoping I don't just start my normal heavy period tomorrow, but I'm thinking that I already had it and it was basically non existent.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471194648987494704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227591395966495076.post-73482658154923868362017-01-12T19:08:57.862-08:002017-01-12T19:08:57.862-08:00I'm Jacki. My mother works in an "alternative" medicine and she studied biology and chemistry. She has always told me that men discharge their toxins every single day through sweat and pimples etc.(basically skin). That's why they mostly smell worse than women. But we, as you said, collect everything for around a month and then release it by menstruation. So, of course, healthy women should have a little or no blood at all. And she also told me that when women go through menopause, their body adapts and further on works like a mans body - eliminates toxins everyday through skin. I don't know how she knows all of this but I'm very thankful that she does. Oh, and one more thing, my mother is not a vegan, but ~7 years before she conceived me and later had a menopause, she didn't consume meat, refined sugar, white flour, coffee, alcohol etc. and she had no symptoms of menopause, no heat, no pain, no nothing, it just happened like it's supposed to, not even a sign. Interesting to hear of your own experiences, though I would question as to what extent we could control the flow...as for me I would see the body's clearing out via the bleed as coming, naturally, two weeks after ovulation. Perfect diet/lifestyle, no need to bleed, but, with most women of course, living modern lifestyles, a need for the body to bleed, at a set time in the cycle. That would be my feeling, but I must admit that trying to control that detoxing is not something I've given any significant thought to. Interesting!Debbie Tookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10345367033617524547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227591395966495076.post-51027532619402697622016-10-11T01:29:20.790-07:002016-10-11T01:29:20.790-07:00Dear Debbie,
Thank you for posting this article.
...Dear Debbie,
Thank you for posting this article.

I came across it last year in my search for information on the necessity of a menstrual cycle. While there are cultural stories regarding a positive outlook before patriarchy, I could not find anything that provided the answer I am searching for.

While I am still searching for an answer, I feel my most recent experiences have shifted from my searching for an answer to searching for answers.

I was either 12 or 13 when I first bled. I emailed like a baby because I didn't want it. I firmly believed I didn't need it to have babies, but dealt with it like everyone else until my mid twenties. I have had to forego tampons because of my allergy to them, and abhor the idea of wearing pads. So I switched to the cup at 25 and have not looked back.

A cup is a bit messy. And it requires a loving relationship to ones body in order to manage the process. I feel I've been really good at that until my travels began to take me to places where it became necessary to manage the timing of my flow. Being in a western country is not a problem - things are sanitary and developed, yes? Travel to different parts of Asia and well, things aren't always great.

I speak for myself when I say this - it has been possible to "arrange" the date for the arrival of my menses...and only recently have I been able to set the amount of days for its flow. This is mainly because the bathroom situation is not the best for a cup change. But also, I have no desire for it anymore.

It is in this I wonder, if women, so long ago, did not bleed at all; and if women were to return to the spiritual and psychological state of their foremothers, if they'd be able to monitor/regulate aspects of their bodies, consciously?

I can't rely on a vegan diet because I am G6PD deficient, so meat has to remain an option, although in moderation. As with all things.

Anyway, I will continuously observe myself, and these changes...and maybe one day write about it.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01500010064437918837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227591395966495076.post-24364185573778166352016-09-09T22:41:06.130-07:002016-09-09T22:41:06.130-07:00Hi, SAH STEAM Many thanks for your feedback. Diet and polluted environment are not the only cause of our health problems including menstrual cycle. Also toxic thoughts and emotions have a big role. Usually most of illnesses have emotional roots. So an healthy diet and exercise will improve our health and also our thoughts(after al we are what we consume including food) but if we do not clean our mind and soul of toxic thoughts and emotions we won't be completely healed. One of my closest friends have a lot a problems during menstrual period but also in the rest of the times. It is true that she doesn't have either a very healthy lifestyle but most of her feminine problems are emotional. She got contradictory thoughts on children and her feminity. She reject her beauty and feminity and have a lot of accumulated fear. this thoughts and emotions lead to health problems such as menstrual pain, candida, hormone imbalance, ovarian injuries, cancer,HPV,infertility and the list goes on. I recently became a high carb, low fat (HCLF) plant based vegan (maybe 7 months ago), and even more recently learned that maybe periods aren't quite so natural as I've been taught to believe. I'm 19 and have been menstruating for 10 years now, my period duration has gone from 3 long, heavy days to 4 light days, and I've found that the more raw my diet, the later my period arrives. However, I have yet to shorten the amount of days or get rid of my period altogether. Would you mind telling me how you accomplished this yourself? You imply that the placenta is wholly created from the mother. 2) Your theory on morning sickness being a way for the body to get rid of toxins it can't get rid of through menstruation. I have very heavy, long periods and always have (getting lighter as peri-menopause kicks in). Even my post-partum bleeding is a week longer and heavier than "normal". I've also never experienced morning sickness in 4 full term pregnancies (and dozens of miscarried pregnancies). I find it very unlikely that period heaviness and morning sickness are in any way related.

I also find it unlikely that diet has an effect on periods in any way other than what we already know - fewer calories = lighter periods. More exercise also = lighter periods. The fact that women in past centuries and more traditional cultures had far fewer calories and far more physical exertion is probably far more relevant to their lighter periods than some theory about "toxins". This would also affect women who change from a diet closer to SAD to one involving mostly raw fruits and vegetables as the number of calories would be greatly reduced.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227591395966495076.post-8875992223117756792016-07-14T21:05:10.293-07:002016-07-14T21:05:10.293-07:00Hi Erin Thank you so much for this feedback. I also did some detoxification. A water diet to all ow my body to heal itself and I immediately had no hemorrhaging. I thought "how could I possibly be unhealthy when I felt great and looked even better" I was also ashamed and embarrassed to tell people that I changed my diet and stopped bleeding. Then it happened, I got pregnant. I knew then that blood during menses was simply put, a horrible symptom of a menstrual cycle because of high toxicity. Its so taboo to even talk about this. Its a darn shame that more research has not been done to prove or disprove that. Thank you for this! maybe one day I will write a book about my experience. Oh, and I noticed a dramatic difference in my cycle from cutting out chicken! and like an idiot I ate chicken a few times over the last few weeks and I am sitting here right now doubled up in sanitary products in pain... I healed my PCOS and was still wondering why my periods haven't started but then realized that this toxin thing could really hold true, especially since everyone's body shed's toxins in the easiest way possible and it's been through my skin. Now 11 months raw and I'm so happy because I always thought periods were gross and I felt so weird having one.. I guess I was more connected to nature than I ever believed to be. I do ovulate and I've never felt better. Can't wait to get even cleaner since I'm a raw frutarian for life! If anyone doubts this it's okay because all the info is confusing but I know for sure because I have experienced it myself that this is true since we are so far away from living according to nature's laws and people eating the SAD diet will have too much misleading information in their heads which will not let them believe this but the more one seeks the truth, he or she will find it :)
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13322212975967755389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1227591395966495076.post-6047606462145995712016-05-10T07:17:14.549-07:002016-05-10T07:17:14.549-07:00Well, 'Peaceful Warrior', I really haven&#...Well, 'Peaceful Warrior', I really haven't a clue what you mean.
